SSW (Specified Skilled Worker)

The Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) is a visa category introduced by the Government of Japan to address the growing demand for foreign workers in 14 labor-shortage industries, including nursing care, construction, agriculture, hospitality, manufacturing, and food service. The SSW program is divided into two types: SSW Type 1, which allows foreign nationals with specific skills to work in Japan for up to 5 years, and SSW Type 2, which provides a pathway to long-term residency and family accompaniment in more specialized fields. To qualify for the SSW visa, applicants must pass a skills proficiency test and a basic Japanese language test, such as the JLPT N4 or JFT-Basic. This visa is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to work in Japan without a university degree, as it focuses on practical skills and hands-on experience.

At Watasino, we provide comprehensive SSW exam preparation courses in Nepal, tailored to meet the needs of job seekers aiming for a career in Japan. Our training programs cover the required technical skills assessments for specific sectors, along with intensive Japanese language training to help candidates achieve JLPT N4 or pass the JFT-Basic exam. We also guide our students through the documentation process, job matching, and interview preparation with Japanese employers. Our instructors and consultants offer up-to-date information about the SSW system, industry trends, and working conditions in Japan, ensuring students are fully prepared for both the exam and real-life work scenarios.
